This card was made by stamping the vases, stems, stem with leaf and flowers individually, they I Ranger Inked the background. Then I used the Hero Arts stamps: writing, envelope and the Love you. Added pearls and ribbon. I matted it after I distressed and turned the corner and edges.

Here is my card for May's Card Chain Challenge by Lily Pad Cards. I will mail it to someone - I don't know who yet and then I will get one from someone else! Fun huh?!

This is hand stamped in chocolate and colored with copics. I added a little Flower Soft and glitter to the center of some of the flowers. Hope you enjoy it!

These are not colors I normally use, so it was truly a challenge! I used Tim Holtz emboss plate on the yellow, Hero Arts stamps -flower and writing. Added the pearls and colored them with copic.

Cut tissue strips

This is a short tutorial on how to make these cute Easter Eggs!

Out of any kind of tissue you want.

They are about 5 inches by 1.25 inches.

Get some white plastic eggs.

Use any glue, this is what I used and water it down.

Here are the supplies ready to go!

Dip the tissue into the watered down glue.

And wrap around the egg. Continue until it is covered

Let them completely dry on a rack.

Then put them in a basket with some grass!

Enjoy!

Baseball Baby Shower

So my friends and I had an amazing Baby Shower for a special girlfriend who is the Gramma of this precious boy. We started with a sports theme and then narrowed down to the baseball theme. This is the Invitation, I stitched the sides of the original and then scanned it and entered the text.

This is the table, Janice did all the flowers, in jars set in baseball mitts. She also used real baseball cards, bats and trophies.

This big flower arrangement was amazing with the peanuts around the interior vase.

The mantle was decorated with a banner and trophies. So stinking cute!

Our favors were Cracker Jacks in a huge basket complete with baseball bat by the door as guests left.

The food was delicious!

I had alot of fun playing with my new glue today unfortunately I now have glitter all over me!!

These are very fun, I used a transparency film, stamped with Staz-On and then used my glue to coat the surface, added glitter, and let them dry. They will all find homes on cards soon.

Dipping Cake Balls the easy Way!

Ok, I have baked my cake, mixed in my frosting and then made cake balls with a 1 inch scoop. I place them on parchment paper lined trays and put them in the freezer for several hours. I don't like to use the spoons and this is the easiest way I have found to dip the cake balls.
Place your melts into the Wilton melter, I have tried microwaving, this works the best for me. You can get them at Wal-Mart or Michaels. They have two settings melt, and warm.
Your melts are now all smooth and melted! Ready for the dipping!
Skewer your frozen cake ball with the bamboo skewers you can use for the grill.
Dip your frozen cake ball into the melts! Tap it off. Give it a little swirl as you finish.

Place the dipped cake ball onto a tray with parchment paper added.
When you pull the skewer out it leaves a hole soooooo..........
Have a bowl of sprinkles or sanding sugar ready to dip your cake balls in!
Redip the cake ball into the melts!
After you dip them in the melts, you dip them in the sprinkles!

This is what they look like finished and ready to eat!

This card was fun and easy to do! I already had the artwork ready to go! I stamped the polka dot background on the green, and inked the edges of the pink. I tied the button underneath with waxy flax. Hope you enjoy it!

A Wild Valentine

I have a sweet friend, Anna, who LOVES all things animal print. So I ran across this ribbon and made her this quick Valentine! She loved it. This was such a fun Save The Date that I did. We designed it after an antique post card that they found. From the front it looks like a Valentine, but when you open it up, Surprise! I made the base card and copied it onto card stock. Then the hearts were punched, stamped, embossed and glittered! The corner embellishments were also stamped and embossed! Then when all done I hand cut the top and bottom of the card with decorative scissors. Hope you LOVE it!!

I just finished this Baby Shower invite for a neighbor. I absolutely love it! I stamped the onesie and colored it with Copic markers, they reduced it and copied it for the top and bottom and envelope liner. Made the round Text box and punched them out, ribbon from Hobby Lobby, and onesie brads from Eyelets. So cute!! Enjoy!

This is my tall card for the Cardvark Challenge! I drew the hat myself and inked it in silver, then made the band. The buckle is embossed in gold and the spider is a brad that I cut off so it wiggles. The Trick or Treat stamp is Hero Arts and of course I added some bling!!

I bought this new Wisteria paper set at the CK convention and it is so fun bc all the papers go so well together. I made these cards with the Hero Art stamps, coloring the stamped image. Also the punched paper is done by a Fiskars border punch.

Lingerie Shower Invitation

This was a fun invite to make, I hand drew the lingerie and hanger and then cut the hanger out of the gingham. I made the pocket by cutting and scoring the black paper and then adding the polka dot. The band wraps around and the overlap is hidden by the Ooh-La-La which I did on the computer and cut out with scallop scissors. I lined the envelope with the polka dot and gingham. Isn't it so cute!

On June 15th we had a celebration for Mark and Laura.They both graduated this year. I made these votive holdersthat I saw on Martha Stewart. You copy the pictures ontovellum paper and put them into the frames without a backing. Attach the frames together and put a candle in the middle. Very cool!!

I have enjoyed Valerie Salmon's Sketch blog for a while now, but when they said they were going to have an "Online class", well, I was skeptical. I waited until the day before to sign up and since then I have been so excited! They had some pre-class projects and we received our first class assignment yesterday! I love the card sketch - have made 4 different kind and love my first assignment. My first sketch is a page of a friend of mines granddaughter. For those of you who don't scrapbook, a sketch is a design guide of where to put pictures, paper and embellishments, they are like blueprints-and then we get to take it from there with our own creativity.

morning, Satan shudders & says...'Oh no....she's awake!!

I received the above "Thought for the day" last week, and I got to thinking about feet. They can be hairy, calloused, have infected toes, or smooth, with painted toes.
No matter what FEET illicit a response!
Some have a positive response: Twice in the Bible it says that “Blessed are the feet that bring good news.” Massage therapists have diagrams of the foot, showing all of the different parts of the foot and what each corresponds to in our body. Couples will rub each others feet as a sign of endearment.
Pedicures, I love to get them. The shop that I go to has nice massage chairs with a small tub attached.
Feet are useful, they take us places. We can run, walk, dance, stop and turn all because of the way they were designed. BUT..
They also receive a negative response.
The Bible tells of Jesus washing the feet of the disciples, they must have been dusty and dirty. And when you ask people to do this, most people have a negative response. One particular disciple initially refused Jesus’ offer.
Some feet stink, or get blisters. Sometimes our feet are tired and that makes us want to put our feet up!
SO take off those cute shoes you have on and take a good look!

Happy Birthday Susan!!

Just a few years ago,(34) my mom came over to Seaton Hall at K-State, where I was in a design class. I can recognize my moms footsteps and glanced up to see her motioning me to come out in the hallway. When I got out there she told me I was an Aunt, to a baby girl named Susan!!

Born on Valentine's Day! So today I wish my sweet niece, Susan, shown above with her daughter Payton, a Very Happy Birthday!! Love ya!!

A couple of weeks ago I helped with a baby shower for a friend
of mine. She is awaiting her first grandchild (a girl). So I made
cupcakes with these cute flags. I made the flags on my computer
and cut them out, glued them to a toothpick and tied the bow on
them. We all thought they turned out so cute!!
Isn't the table so cute with the cupcake tower and the
"diaper cake"?
